.22lr AR15s are about as much fun as you can have with pants on. They’re cheaper than shooting .223, great for beginners, and just an overall blast. BUT, building a dedicated .22lr AR or converting your .223 AR to shoot .22 can be a confusing nightmare.
Understanding how the different components fit together, what works best for reliability, what’s the best “bang for the buck” etc. can be a significant deterrent to shooters trying to break into the world of .22lr ARs.
